A Special Interest is something you are passionate about to a higher level of intensity than what you would define as a hobby.

They can be helpful among the autistic community in many different ways.

Sometimes, they can get to the point where they could almost be described as a personality trait. We may do as much research as we possibly can and never be able get it off our minds.

Decision making is something I often find to be difficult. When people disagree with my choices it doesn't help me get better at making them. If someone tells me to pick whatever I want, I assume that all answers are correct. Even when they say there is no wrong answer one of the options is still better than the rest. The question is, how do I know which one it is? If you already have something picked out in your head then what's the point in asking me?

Recently I was informed about a new trend going around the social media platform, TikTok called the "Autism Challenge". Those participating have been making videos mimicking autistic traits such as, stimming, having tics, meltdowns, and are even faking seizures. It was created attending to celebrate those on the spectrum as they may struggle through the current crisis but quickly transformed into a huge bullying scandal across the entire internet.

As of the current situation in the world, you cannot walk out of your home without any sort of protective gear. I don't know about you but I am not enjoying it. The smell of hand sanitizer is too strong and face masks are uncomfortable. The only way to avoid it is to stay inside away from people, which is not as easy as I initially thought. You need to leave your home at some point to get things like food and medications.

I wanted to step away from what I usually discuss on my blog and jump into a less sensitive topic. Recently a lot of people have been stressed out about the pandemic so I thought I would use this time to share some of my favorite things with my audience. Maybe this article will help you get to know me personally. You can think of this as a page full of positive reviews. This will include things such as books and podcasts. Some of the things I may connect back to autism but for the most part, this is just something short and fun for you to read.

As most of you know, the whole world is in the middle of a pandemic, which means all schools are closed forcing students to learn from home. Hardly anybody was prepared for this situation making it a huge sudden switch in everyone's lives. For those with autism, even just the tiniest of change can be a challenge. Throughout the past month, the only thing people have been discussing has been the coronavirus. It has gotten to the point where I feel like it would be wrong if I didn't write about it. Hardly anyone asked me what I think about it simply because I have not been having poor responses to it. Apparently, the only opinions that matter are from those who react the worse, which oddly enough  are the ones that suck you in.

On November, 8th 2019 around 9:30am I was in a dance class at my school when all of a sudden I collapsed on the gym floor. I was conscious but could barely move a muscle or communicate in any way. 911 was dialed and I was sent to the Emergency room in an ambulance. Doctors thought that I had a bad seizure or possibly a brain tumor or stroke.
